Develop and implement strategies across the Strategic Partnerships team in line with the company's business objectives. Drive incremental revenue growth across the segment. Manage a national account sales team focused on building and growing strategic partnerships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies across the Strategic Partnerships team in line with the company's business objectives of maximizing profitability and growing market share
Build and expand relationships with all strategic partners at all levels of the organization, while engaging in high level decision makers and C-suite executives
Drive incremental revenue growth across the segment, which includes large associations, membership groups, luxury key accounts, hotels, and other strategic accounts
Develop business plans for partnerships, including goals, timing, revenue projections, business requirements, and potential risks
Effectively negotiate business terms and marketing opportunities to ensure proper value exchange
Train, coach, develop, and challenge a national partnership sales team based on strategic selling and account management techniques adapted by the company
Coordinate efforts among multiple departments (pricing, sales, brand marketing and online marketing) in order to implement a consistent brand strategy across multiple distribution channels
Effectively utilize sales management tools to measure weekly or monthly activity, inspection points, tracking success/leads/failures, communicate significant account activity with other departments in the organization, in addition to effectively coaching and portfolio management
Represents Avis and Budget as a leader at trade events and initiating activities with such organizations
Assist with training and development of other personnel that contribute to the success of the Strategic Partnership team
Supervisory Responsibilities
Ensures proper staffing to maximize the effectiveness of the Sales function. Conducts annual performance appraisals for direct reports, recommends salary increases, provides individual feedback to improve performance, and initiates corrective action in response to personnel problems. Reviews and approves salary increases for indirect reports. Oversees the training of new employees to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the organization's standards.

Required Experience
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 8 years experience in sales management
Minimum of 8 years of sales and marketing experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency
Self motivated and able to contribute individually as well as part of a team
Superior problem solving skills - must be resourceful and creative with solutions
Strong interpersonal, decision-making and organizational skills
Solid PC skills including knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Willingness to travel
