JOB
Summary: Job will perform administrative tasks within the operation center payroll group. The job will include the administration of the PeopleSoft payroll system in support of the field branch offices and the administration of the company time and attendance system. This position will also cross train as back up support to already supported payroll functions.

_SPECIFIC DUTIES_ :
Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 hours a day.
Position to act as payroll administrator for a permanent region, as well as overflow from other region administrators.
Prepare entries for on demand checks, such as short pays, bonus and other miscellaneous payment types.
Position will administer high volume of garnishment support orders
Internal/External customer service with field offices and associates to respond to questions regarding payroll issues. High phone and email volume.
Position will serve as a backup administrator to the company time and attendance system. Responsible for approximately 250 employees.
Position will serve as back up to the off cycle check process. Demand checks needed outside of the normal payroll process.
Position may report to multiple supervisors in conjunction with work assignments.
Ability to work extended hours as needed in relation to department workload.
Additional duties assigned, as required.
## Minimum Requirements
_MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY_
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
_Education/
Experience:_ BA or BS degree and 2 - 4 years of progressively responsible payroll experience in a large volume (5000+), multi-state payroll environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
_Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing_ ):
PeopleSoft 9.1 or higher a plus.
Garnishment administration knowledge a plus.
Large volume in house payroll experience.
Payroll tax experience a plus.
Must present extreme organization skills, under pressured deadlines.
Must be able to demonstrate that you are responsible and reliable.
Ability to work comfortably and lead their peers.
Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
Demonstrated proficiency in office productivity software including Microsoft Word and Excel etc.
Ability to carry out multiple assignments concurrently.
Skill in clear and concise oral and written communication.
Ability to be an effective team member and handle project assignments responsibly.
Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.
Courteous telephone manner.
Strong customer service and results orientation.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
