Summary:
The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for delivering mission-critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.
A qualified systems engineer must have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis.
The IT Systems Engineer ensures that all the pieces of an engineering system work together, from managing business and management aspects to making sure each part is engineered correctly.
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

Provide hands-on technical depth, problem-solving inputs, and participation in complex infrastructure design of information and operational support systems.
Support On-prem and Cloud-based Infrastructure implementations, system upgrades, and operational troubleshooting to increase Securitas's agility speed to market, and efficiency.
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability through effective systems monitoring, scheduled maintenance, and following change controls processes.
Monitor and maintain inventory reports and logs of systems upgrades, patch management, and system uptime for all Securitas systems.
Provide 2nd and 3rd-level support for the operations team and assist with problem resolution and root cause analysis as needed.
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions and work with other teams to implement those fixes.
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
Write and maintain custom scripts and automation to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
Liaise with vendors and other IT functions for problem resolution.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY:
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
Excellent technical skills in Infrastructure technologies, such as Clustering, Microsoft Operating Systems Server 2008-2019, Microsoft SQL, Active Directory, Veeam Backup Suite, SCOM, Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, DHCP, GPO, Site, and federation services.
Experience working with Servers, Blade class machines, and VMware Infrastructure, enterprise storage experience is a plus.
Solid LAN/WAN networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP), and Brocade Switches.
Advance Cloud Infrastructure experience, preferably in Microsoft 365 and Azure Virtual Environments.
Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows-based environments with some exposure to Linux Administration.
Experience using monitoring including SolarWinds, and MS SCOM.
Solid track record of supporting cloud-based disaster recovery (DR) and backup solutions with advanced technology solutions and achieving desired RPO and RTO levels.
Demonstrated knowledge and success in efficiently supporting IT systems/resources and project implementations.
EDUCATION/
Experience:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject and 8
years experience COMPETENCIES :

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and an effective team player.
Creative and data-oriented problem solver; detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
