Summary:
Drafter / Design Control Coordinator RCM Engineering - Energy Services, a Multidiscipline Engineering Firm located in Oakland NJ, is seeking a Drafter / Design Control Coordinator for a full-time position.
The Drafter / Design Control Coordinator will administer document controls within customer document control systems and provide drafting services to the Oakland, NJ office Electrical Engineering department.

Responsibilities:
General drafting tasks and work in Multi-Discipline Engineering Departments.
Performs routine work that conforms to all project/task requirements that require basic understanding and application of engineering theories, standards, concepts, techniques.
This position is responsible for providing Drafting services within a firm schedule.
In addition, the candidate will assist engineers in performing site visits, inspections, obtaining field measurements and preparing field sketches as required.
Be responsible for all aspects of document management including filing, scanning, and creation and maintaining of logs and lists of documents created.
Modification of drawings with minimal assistance from Engineers and Designers to conform to customer CAD standards.
Job Requirements:
BS/BA required (or equivalent work experience).
Knowledge of general drafting standards, practices, and procedures Experience demonstrating skills working with company and internal/external customers, contractors, vendors, and/or consultants Broad range of skills in the use of computer software, and electronic communications.
Experience demonstrating skill using computer design applications including AutoCAD and MicroStation is a must Coordinate document control issues with clients.
Ability to work in different document control systems of multiple clients as well as internal document control requirements.
Ability and willingness to travel to various company or client locations as required Ability and willingness to differentiate color coded drawings and plans Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments which may include outdoors in all weather conditions and in noisy and dirty environments Must possess a valid driver's license Must successfully pass a medical screening to include a drug test.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must display a professional image in dealing with clients in person and via phone calls and emails.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic to learn.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Current US Citizen, Green Card, or other permit to legally work in United States.
Highly Desired skills:
Familiarity with Adept (by Synergis), or similar document management systems.
3-D Modeling using Revit is a plus.
BS/BE in Engineering or related field is considered a plus.
