The objective of this position is to perform a wide variety of employment support activities.
Activities include but are not limited to, employee relations, talent recruitment and performance management, and development and oversight of the new employee orientation program.
Position Summary Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Generalist provides extensive support in the recruitment, training and retention of Bobst North America employees.
The HRG is a professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills and excels at building relationships and understanding how to motivate people to achieve results.
The HRG works with the HRD, Benefits Specialist, the Payroll Administrator to reach team objectives.
Working in cooperation with department managers, the HRG will help to identify the personnel needs of the organization and will lead the recruitment process to fulfill those needs, including managing the process in the HRIS.
The HRG will work with the HR colleagues to create and conduct the new employee orientation.
This process includes but is not limited to, reviewing the job description; reviewing company policies and handbook; completing credit card applications (if applicable); completing immigration and tax forms and regular follow up (30,60,90 day check ins) as well as participating in the Year 1 Performance Management cycle.
Main Responsibilities _ Recruitment_ 1.
Communicate with company stakeholders to ascertain staffing needs 2.
Develop employment agency contacts and recruitment strategies 3.
Communicate organizational needs to placement agencies and various internet sites for recruitment of suitable candidates 4.
Develop ad text for placement in publications and on the internet 5.
Conduct initial screening of resumes, select among top candidates and coordinate interviews Employee Relations 1.
Provide support to Managers to be able to manage employee issues through coaching, counseling, and formal discipline processes 2.
Work with managers to identify training needs for employees and identify different training programs to offer for various needs 3.
Understanding of labor and employment law 4.
Deploy Employee Engagement Survey and provide initial results to HRD and work with managers to address employees feedback.
_ Hiring and Orientation of New Employees_ 1.
Prepare offer letters to prospective employees 2.
Develop orientation program of new employees to include discussion of company policies and completion of pertinent tax, insurance, and benefits forms, company history and vision, and performance management processes and expectations.
_ General_ 1.
Develop and distribute HR Announcements 2.
Maintain employee personnel files 3.
Coordinate updates to:
salary changes, address changes, promotions and transfers, change in INS status, and other changes 4.
Development of company-wide job description library Key Daily Tasks Communicate with HR Team to determine any priority issues Manage Recruitment process in CONNECT, including posting job ads for open positions Create/develop offer letters, anniversary and birthday letters Communicate with department managers about staffing needs Review resumes and conduct pre-employment interviews Conduct exit interviews of departing staff On-going development of company-wide Job Description library Facilitate relocation processes for transferring employee Communicate with staff attorneys to ensure appropriate compliance and facilitate Visa processing for all staff and applicable family members Facilitate relocation processes for transferring employees Other special projects and duties as assigned Education and Experience Education Undergraduate degree Background 3-5 years in Human Resources Job Type:
