DescriptionPermanent position for an Electrical Engineer for PCB & circuit design for motion control of precision manufacturing equipment.
Design electrical subsystems of industrial machinery for microelectronics.
Work with electrical specifications to prepare electrical installation packages.
Create all electrical drawings and related documentation for projects, including system device layouts, One-Line Diagrams, Schematics, PLC Layouts, and Panel Layouts.
Design PCBs with embedded microcontroller and sensor interface subcircuits.
Create power distribution drawings and basic communication network diagrams.
Develop sensor subsystems using custom designs and/or standard off-the-shelf devices.
Request quotes, order materials, schedule and coordinate testing of electronic subsystems.
Modify and create new drawings for in-house systems fabrication.
Design control panels, utilizing circuit breakers, fuses, contactors, PLC's, etc.
Fill out electrical material requisitions to procure electrical devices per project requirements.
Coordinate with panel fabricators to manufacture and deliver finished control panels.
Create detailed test procedures for electrical subassemblies.
Provide engineering support for field start up personnel.
RequirementsBS Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years experience in circuit design, ideally for motion control applicationsExperience designing industrial control panels, using 480/120Vac and 24Vdc electrical systems.
Experience with microelectronics systems integration.
Thorough knowledge of A.
C.
and D.
C.
electrical theory.
Working knowledge of NFPA 79, EN 60204-33 and UL508A.
Proficient in PCB schematic capture and PCB design suites such as DesignSpark, Altium, OrCad.
Experience with safety controllers is a plus.
Experience with basic network drawings (cable layouts).
