Responsibilities: Development and construction of J2EE platform components and application frameworks Provide Technical Leadership to more junior programmers to brainstorm and design solutions Participate in technical discussions / brainstorming sessions and designs and contribute ideas and strategies to enhance core platform products Interface with Application Teams to explain core Platform features, understand and address application team design/development pain points, and find / propose corresponding solutions Develop quick Proof Of Concepts to materialize innovative technical ideas Work closely with development leads to make sure Platform is inline with the company''s technology roadmap. Provide bug fixes and support to troubleshoot Production problems Interface with Business and Requirements team on functional analysis Support the Quality Assurance team during Product Test phase Support Business during System Integration Test and User Acceptance Test phases Required Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in a computer related field 7
years experience in designing and constructing complex software systems 5
years experience in Java development Strong design skills in building application platform layer, frameworks, and formulating design patterns Strong software development experience in coding platform-level components / frameworks using Eclipse, MVC, Java (J2EE platform), JSP, Servlets, Struts, Web Services, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, XML, CSS Expert knowledge of Java, J2EE, Struts Solid understanding of Internet concepts and technology, MVC, Object-oriented concepts, SOA Experience working with WebSphere Experience with Endeca is a plus Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team to develop solutions Professional maturity in dealing with all levels of management
