POSITION: Extractables and Leachables Sr. Chemist - Instruments.
LOCATION: Parsippany, NJ.
DESCRIPTION: Analytical chemistry testing services pertaining specifically to E&L (related to pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, generics, personal care products, oils, others). Reports to Manager.
MAIN DUTIES:
Technical guru / resource for other analysts.
Team lead/ supervisor for analysis of data and analytical techniques.
Sample extraction and preparation for E&L studies.
Analysis for E&L studies using (GC-MS) Gas Chromatography and/or (UPLC-MS) Ultra High Pressure Liquid Chromatography with MS mass spectrometry. ICP-MS experience a plus.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, LC/MS, GC, HPLC.
Recording results in proper format and evaluating data as per client specifications.
Comply with cGMP and GLP regulations.
Prepare chemical solutions re SOPs and suitable testing methods.
Inventory, protocol and report writing; other documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
BS Chemistry/ related. MS preferred.
Approx. 5 years' E&L project experience and related analytical instrumentation experience.
Min 1 year report and protocol writing.
Good grounding in chemistry and related analytical technologies,
Excellent communication, team, time management skills.
French or Spanish of interest.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
