Our client in Parsippany, NJ is currently seeking a Business Analyst for a full time opportunity

They will participate on IT projects and hold responsibility for independently analyzing and producing accurate and thorough project documentation and deliverables. This includes business requirements, project scope, benefits and risk, system feasibility, and data analysis. The person also works to improve and sustain the quality of the systems that are delivered and assist in their testing.

The person may also be responsible for the development of training material and training classes, and provide post-implementation support. Work may also involve the development of project plans and often requires project management skills.


Technical Duties and Leadership
Develop a deep understanding of business processes. Document via process diagrams.
Gather application requirements from business; assess priority and feasibility of requests, distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Assess and implement multiple kinds of technology to solve business challenges. (e.g., in-house custom solutions, software purchases or SaaS)
Facilitate testing of new and changed applications by creating test cases and supervising user acceptance testing.
Following SDLC, document the requirements, design, test cases and test results.
Communicate clearly with IT management and business.
Anticipate and raise application or processes issues that can impact the quality of the information provided by IT. Work with the business and IT on their resolution.
Foster a solid working relationship with business partners and IT colleagues to collaborate on prioritization of business needs and established action plans for completing approved initiatives.
Provide post-implementation and on-going client relationship support

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to work closely and independently with application teams and business clients throughout the company to ensure proper IT solutions are in place.

Competencies/Critical Skills
Proven experience in the design of business applications, capturing and translating complex business needs into clearly understood requirements and designs.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills including an understanding of how to interpret client business needs and translate to functional and/or technical requirements
Experience in Oracle Value Chain Planning Tools (VCP), including Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) and Oracle Strategic Network Optimization (SNO).
Experience in Supplier Collaboration, ideally using Oracle Collaborative Planning.
Experience in Demand Planning using Logility Voyager Demand Planning (DP)
Experience in a client facing role and ability to work with stakeholders throughout the enterprise
Highly effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong system and data analysis skills.
Strong organization skills and ability to lead multiple simultaneous work streams.
Experience leading and/or managing small IT initiatives.

SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES
Effective communication skills, both oral & written with both technical and non-technical clients
Ability to work independently & within a team environment
Ability to enlist and partner with resources within and outside the department to ensure successful execution of design & implementation tasks
Demonstrated collaborative, consultative, problem solving, prioritization and analytical skills
This person should have knowledge of the Consumer Products industry, PMP certification is a plus.

EDUCATION
Bachelor?s Degree
