The Staff Accountant contributes to the Accounting Department's goals of accurate and timely reporting of financial data to internal and external stakeholders by performing a variety of tasks in accounting and finance. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize the workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Must be highly motivated and detail oriented.
Staff Accountant Job Duties include:
-The staff accountant will report to the Controller and be responsible for the processing of all daily accounting transactions
-Preparation of the monthly financial statements including Profit & Loss Statements.
-Supporting all general accounting activities within the firm
-Bank reconciliations, Month End Closings, Financial Statements
-SOX Compliance, SEC Reporting, GAAP
Skills/
Qualifications:
-Must have a BS/BA Degree in Accounting
-3-5 years Accounting Experience
-Knowledge of GAAP/SOX
-CPA preferred
