Senior Accounting Job for Company in Bergen County-

The Senior Accounting Job is handling accounting information by researching account issues for compliance and by establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Senior Accounting Job Duties include:

5 to 7 years of total accounting experience ideally 2 to 3 years of total experience with a public accounting firm balance in a manufacturing / inventory centric setting (a company that makes and sells products)
Experience performing and supervising select accounting functions: month end close, reporting, reconciliations, etc.
Experience preparing and reviewing detailed budgets and forecasts, etc.
Familiarity with financial compliance: Sarbanes Oxley, internal audit, accounting research, etc.
Experience with Sarbanes Oxley and internal control environment documentation
Familiarity with basic cost accounting: Transfer Pricing, Standard Costing, Inventory Valuation accounting, etc.
Demonstrated abilities to meet varying and numerous deliverables timely on a consistent basis
Excellent people and communication skills - written, oral, and organization skills
Demonstrated aptitude for identifying and communicating to management key drivers in reported data and potential issues
Working knowledge of integrated financial systems (ie: Oracle) plus systems such as Hyperion
Perform and/or supervise the following financial compliance activities:
All monthly, quarterly, and reconciliation requirements
SOX, Internal Audit, and E&Y audit and supporting documentation requirements.
Enforce financial policies, procedures and control measures to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX.
